Dorothy Sikora

Dorothy Sikora is a singer/songwriter, professional pianist, vocalist, recording artist, teacher, drum circle facilitator and mother. She performs at special events and composes for television and her Latin Jazz Band. She studied composition, piano and voice at Berklee College of Music in Boston. For more than 15 years, Dorothy has been a Director of Music Together®. Dorothy is a member of the National Piano Teachers Guild, Music For People, the Director of Joy of Music and Music Teacher at a Child’s Place in Lincroft. Dorothy runs several music and voice programs at schools, camps, parks, and teambuilding for corporations. Dorothy is a Billboard Songwriting Contest winner for her song “Smile”.
Dorothy had the systemic candida condition in her early 20's, at a time when it was only recognized by one Doctor, Doctor Atkins, also known for his Atkins diet. She sought treatment and worked with Dr. Atkins in New York City at that time. Dorothy also suffered from Epstein Barr at that time, amongst many other symptoms, all due to her compromised immune system.
About 10 years ago, Dorothy was diagnosed with Cervical cancer, and treated herself with natural remedies, and healed naturally from this condition. Now, she has been diagnosed with breast cancer, and has just returned from the renowned Hippocrates Health Institute in Florida, as she seeks to heal from not only traditional but also from natural methods. The Hippocrates Health Institute has been the preeminent leader in the field of natural and complementary health care and education since 1956.
